Job Summary:
Belden’s EHS Coordinator supports the implementation and maintenance of environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies. This role is critical in promoting a culture of safety and sustainability within a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment. This is a salaried non-exempt position reporting directly to the Operations Manager of our Tucson, AZ facility, with a dotted line to our Corporate EHS Manager. Hours will primarily be on 1st shift, with need to be flexible across all shifts.
You will make an Impact in the following way:
- Safety Compliance & Auditing: Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits of the facility. Assist in maintaining OSHA compliance and preparing for regulatory inspections. Track and report safety metrics and trends, following our internal procedures.
- Training & Communication: Deliver safety training programs (e.g., forklift safety, PPE, hazard communication). Support onboarding safety orientation for new hires. Promote safety awareness through campaigns, signage, and toolbox talks.
- Incident Management: Lead incident investigations, near misses, and injuries. Maintain accurate records of incidents and corrective actions. Manage workers’ compensation cases, including reporting and follow-up. Experience with injury case management is a plus.
- Environmental Compliance: Monitor waste disposal practices and ensure proper handling of hazardous materials. Support sustainability initiatives and environmental reporting.
- Program Support: Maintain EHS documentation, including SDS, training logs, and inspection records. Assist in implementing and updating EHS policies and procedures. Collaborate with operations and HR to support safety initiatives.
What you will bring:
- Education – Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred. Background in Nursing is also a plus.
- Experience – 1-3 years of experience in EHS, preferably in a warehouse or distribution setting
- Knowledge – working knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations as well as Workers’ Compensation and injury case management.
- Skills – Fluent in English and Spanish, proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS management systems, strong communication and organizational skills
- Abilities – work both independently and collaboratively across departments, proactive problem solving, detail-oriented, adaptability, ability to support multiple shifts

Applicants can expect a base compensation range of ($53,500-80,200), plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role. This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant’s experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
