Job Summary

We are seeking a Governance Manager to lead the charge in building a world-class pricing framework that drives strategy, compliance, and profitability. In this pivotal role, you’ll work cross-functionally to develop scalable pricing policies and processes, ensure data integrity, and enable confident, value-driven pricing decisions across products and customer segments.

 

What you will do

  • Governance Framework & Policy Management
    • Develop and maintain a data governance framework specific to pricing data, including roles, responsibilities, and workflows.
    • Establish and enforce data standards for price books, discount structures, customer tiers, and promotional pricing across systems.
    • Create and manage pricing data policies, metadata, and data lineage documentation to ensure consistency and traceability.
  • System & Integration Oversight
    • Govern pricing-related master data across systems including ERP, CPQ, and pricing engines.
    • Ensure integration between systems maintains data integrity, version control, and compliance with governance policies.
    • Partner with IT and architecture teams to define pricing system design rules and control points.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Act as the governance liaison between Pricing, Finance, Sales Ops, Product, and IT teams.
    • Support business stakeholders in defining pricing data ownership and resolving cross-system data conflicts.
    • Lead or contribute to data governance councils, pricing committees, and project steering teams.
  • Compliance, Risk & Quality Control
    • Ensure all pricing data complies with internal controls (e.g., SOX) and regulatory requirements.
    • Define and monitor data quality KPIs, including completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of pricing data.
    • Lead resolution of data quality issues and implement preventive controls to reduce future risk.
  • Enablement & Change Management
    • Provide training and documentation on pricing processes and tools.
    • Support system upgrades, new pricing model implementations, and migrations by embedding governance principles.
    • Advocate for a data-first culture, promoting awareness of pricing data as a strategic asset.

 

What you will bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Data Management, Information Systems, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data governance, pricing systems, or master data management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to effectively communicate complex pricing concepts and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of pricing principles and methodologies: Knowledge of cost-plus pricing, value-based pricing, and other pricing strategies.
  • Experience with ERP (SAP, AS400) and pricing tools such as Vendavo, PROS, Zilliant, or CPQ systems.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in B2B manufacturing, distribution, or industrial sectors.
  • Hands-on experience with data integration or data modeling related to pricing logic.

 

Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $101,400-$152,100 plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role.  This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant’s experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
