The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, ensuring production schedules are met, safety standards are upheld, and quality specifications are consistently achieved. This role requires a  leader with effective team management skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of employees to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to production timelines.
  • Monitor and enforce quality standards to ensure all components meet design and customer specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies; promote a culture of safety and accountability.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate employees; provide constructive feedback and support employee development.
  • Maintain accurate records related to production output, labor hours, material usage, and downtime.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance to resolve technical or production issues.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
  • Participate in daily production meetings and provide regular updates to management regarding department performance.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in a manufacturing-related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of fabrication techniques including welding, cutting, forming, and machining.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job specifications.
  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Must be able to stand, walk, and move throughout the manufacturing facility for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Exposure to moderate noise, heat, and manufacturing-related hazards; proper PPE is required at all times.
