Job Summary:

Directs and establishes policies and procedures for the engineering department to achieve company goals. Assigns tasks to self or members of the department to achieve short and long term goals consistent with responsibilities of the department.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensures timely completion of engineering department assignments in order to meet customer expectations and manufacturing
  • Coordinates with Production Control and Sales departments to review customer requirements and to prioritize work assignments
  • Complete or assign for completion, all routings and bills of material as needed for production requirements
  • Update previously manufactured products based on quantities ordered and changes in material and labor pricing
  • Provides technical guidance and support to internal and external customers
  • Serve as a technical expert/resource for projects
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce CADD standards
  • Work with IT staff to manage licensing and optimize systems for AutoCAD
  • Establish and implement short- and long-term goals, objectives, policies and procedures for team
  • Train, Supervise and evaluate department staff


What you will bring

 

  • Bachelor's or technical degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of two years of experience
  • Thorough knowledge of CNC machine operations, sheet metal manufacturing processes, mechanical blue prints and sheet metal time standards
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • ACAD/ Inventor experience
  • Programming on CNC Punches/ Lasers Working knowledge of BOMs/ Routings/ Product structuring a plus

 

Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $101,400 - $152,100 plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role.  This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant’s experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
