Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing financial planning, analysis, and cost control for manufacturing operations. This role partners with production, supply chain, and leadership teams to ensure financial accuracy, optimize costs, and drive operational efficiency. The ideal candidate possesses strong financial acumen, experience in a manufacturing environment, and the ability to provide strategic financial guidance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for manufacturing operations.
- Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and profitability to ensure financial targets are met.
- Provide financial insights to support cost reduction initiatives, efficiency improvements, productivity and capital investments.
- Develop and maintain cost accounting processes, including standard costing, inventory valuation, capital expenditures and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to improve financial performance and control costs.
- Prepare and present financial reports, including analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, corporate policies, and internal controls.
- Assist in strategic decision-making by providing financial modeling and scenario analysis.
- Work closely with auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure financial integrity.
- Lead and mentorfinance team members supporting manufacturing operations.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- 5+ years of finance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and financial software (SAP, Profit Key, or similar).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence decision-making.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and other financial reporting standards.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
